Dig Ramat Rahel 2006

An archeological dig for volunteers from around the world.
The four-week period of digging extends from July 30th to August 27th, 2006.
Participants can register for the entire period or for one of the following week-long periods, beginning on the following dates:

First period: 30th July-6th August 2006
Second period: 6th August-13th August 2006
Third period: 13th August-20th August 2006
Fourth period: 20th August-27th August 2006

Minimum length of participation: two weeks

Weekly fee per person, covering full board, use of all hotel facilities (pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, gym, and alternative health treatments | the latter two for an additional fee):

A) Hostel lodging (without private bathrooms):
1 person per room: US-$ 640 per person
2 persons per room:  US-$ 430 per person

B) Hotel lodging (in 4-star facility: http://www.ramatrachel.co.il):
1 person per room: US-$ 755 per person
2 persons per room: US-$ 510 per person
4 persons per room: US-$ 440 per person.
 

The price includes:
Participation in the dig, full room and board, two academic lectures, and use of the hotel pool.

The price does not include:
Flights to and from Israel, transportation within Israel, organized tours*, insurance.

Four different afternoon tours of Jerusalem's holy places and archeological sites, US-$ 20 per tour per person. Each tour will be offered four times a week between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. One weekend (Friday-Sunday) tour, US-$ 60 per person. Registration on site for the tours.
